The next step is to create a developer API key. This is different from the key created by the app installation.
In the key settings, use https://edia.app/redirect/canvas as the redirect URI and paste these scopes:
url:DELETE|/api/v1/courses/:course_id/assignments/:id
url:GET|/api/v1/courses
url:GET|/api/v1/courses/:course_id/sections
url:GET|/api/v1/courses/:course_id/sections/:id
url:GET|/api/v1/courses/:course_id/users
url:GET|/api/v1/users/:id
url:GET|/api/v1/users/:user_id/profile
url:POST|/api/v1/courses/:course_id/assignments
url:POST|/api/v1/courses/:course_id/assignments/:assignment_id/submissions/update_grades
url:PUT|/api/v1/courses/:course_id/assignments/:assignment_id/submissions/:user_id
url:PUT|/api/v1/courses/:course_id/assignments/:id
After creation, you will get a secret. Save it, along with the id, as highlighted in the below screenshot. Share these with your CS representative along with your Canvas domain, e.g. yourDistrict.instruction.com.
