When to Use This
Use this article when:
An assignment is not appearing in Google Classroom
Google Classroom sync settings seem missing
A class roster was recently updated
Students cannot see an assignment in Google Classroom
Before troubleshooting:
Log into your Edia teacher account
Ensure your Google Classroom courses are active
Ensure your Edia classes are connected to Google Classroom
Step 1: Confirm Your Google Classroom Classes
Go to Classes.
Review your list of classes.
Confirm that each class name matches the corresponding class name in Google Classroom.
Your Edia classes match your Google Classroom sections.
Step 2: Re-Import Classes from Google Classroom
From Classes, click + Add or Import.
Select Re-import from Google.
Choose the correct classes from the list.
Click Import.
This does not create duplicate classes.
Re-importing only refreshes rosters and sync settings.
Step 3: Check the Assignment Post Date
Return to the Edia homepage.
Open the assignment that is not appearing in Google Classroom.
Review the Post date and time.
If the Post date is set in the future, update it.
Click Save Changes if you make updates.
The assignment will appear in Google Classroom once the Post date has passed.
Step 4: Confirm Google Classroom Sync Is Enabled
Open the assignment.
Click the three dots at the top of the page.
Select Share with Students.
Confirm that Sync with Google Classroom is turned on.
Click Update to save.
The assignment will sync to the connected Google Classroom course.
If You Don’t See the Sync Option
If Sync with Google Classroom does not appear:
Return to Classes
Select Re-import from Google
Reconnect your classes
This typically restores the missing sync option.
