Syncing with Google Classroom

This guide covers how to import Google Classroom classes into Edia, enable assignment syncing, and troubleshoot sync settings. Helpful for teachers setting up or maintaining their Google Classroom connection.

1. Go to the Classes tab

Click “Add or import.”

2. Select “Import from Google”

3. Choose the classes to import

Select your Google Classroom sections and click “Import.”

4. Grant permissions

When prompted, allow Edia to:

  • Access your Google Classroom rosters
    ​

  • Sync assignments
    ​

  • Maintain class connections

Syncing Assignments with Google Classroom

When creating a new assignment

During the final step of assignment creation, turn on the “Sync with Google Classroom” toggle.

If an assignment isn’t appearing in Google Classroom

  1. Open the assignment in Edia
    ​

  2. Click the three dots menu
    ​

  3. Select “Share with Students” to confirm the sync toggle is enabled
    ​

  4. Click “Update” if you adjust the setting
    ​
