Overview
Edia gives you several ways to pull data out of the platform — whether you need to update your SIS manually, build an intervention list, prepare a board presentation, or share chronic absence data with your social workers. This guide covers each available export, when to use it, and a few pro tips to make your exports more useful.

Available Exports
1. Attendance Updates CSV
Where: Attendance → Configuration (per school) → CSV Export
What's in it: Student number, date, period, code, status, Edia comment, updated timestamp
When to use: Manually importing code changes into your SIS when you don't have automated writeback
A nightly SFTP export also runs automatically at 4:00 AM UTC district-wide with the same data.
2. Students Table Export (Richest Export)
Where: Students page → Export button in the top right
What's in it: All columns in your current filtered view — attendance metrics, demographics (ethnicity, FRL, ELL, IEP, 504, primary language), intervention count, MTSS tier, case manager, and more
When to use: Intervention planning, subgroup analysis, leadership reports, identifying at-risk students
Pro tip: Apply your filters before exporting. For example, filter "Days to Chronic ≤ 5" plus "Special Programs includes IEP" to create a targeted intervention list for students with IEPs at risk of chronic absenteeism.
3. School Comparison Export
Where: Attendance → Trends → Export button on the school comparison table
What's in it: School-level ADA rate, chronic absence %, intervention count, absence reason distribution
When to use: District leadership reports, principal check-ins, board presentations
4. Individual Charts & Tables
Most charts and tables across the Attendance and Students pages have their own export buttons. Look for the Export or download icon in the top right of any chart.

Important Notes
Subgroup data (IEP, ELL, FRL, ethnicity, primary language) syncs nightly from your SIS — it cannot be added manually in Edia
Root cause data in exports requires the AI Attendance Agent to be enabled
Always double-check your filters before downloading — your export reflects the view you're currently looking at
Tips & Troubleshooting
My export is missing students I expected to see Check your active filters. Clear filters you don't need or expand your date range.
My CSV won't import into my SIS Confirm the column headers match what your SIS expects. Some districts need to reformat the file slightly — reach out to your Customer Success Team if you need help.
