🛡️ Interventions
New Interventions System Launched
The all-new Interventions experience is now live for all districts. Create, track, and manage student interventions with a redesigned workflow that includes intervention templates, staff assignment with role-based caseload visibility, tiered classification (Tier 1/2/3), target metrics with goal tracking, custom plan steps, and progress check-ins.
Why it matters: Staff can now build structured, trackable intervention plans for at-risk students directly in Edia — replacing scattered spreadsheets with a single source of truth that the whole team can see and act on.
📅 Attendance
Tardy Indicator on Calendar
The student attendance calendar now displays a distinct hatched-pattern indicator for tardy periods, separate from absences and present days.
Why it matters: Staff can now see at a glance which days a student was late vs. fully absent, giving a more nuanced picture of attendance patterns without clicking into each day.
Daily Attendance Writeback to PowerSchool
Edia now writes daily attendance records back to PowerSchool automatically, in addition to the existing period-level writeback.
Why it matters: Districts using PowerSchool's daily attendance mode now get seamless two-way sync — changes made in Edia flow back to the SIS automatically, eliminating double-entry.
Attendance Settings Reload on School Switch
The attendance settings page now properly refreshes when switching between schools.
Why it matters: Admins managing multiple schools no longer see stale configuration from a previously selected school — settings always reflect the school currently being viewed.
Attendance Code Validation
The system now validates that attendance codes belong to the correct school before saving configuration.
Why it matters: Prevents accidental misconfiguration where codes from one school could be applied to another, ensuring accurate attendance tracking across buildings.
🤖 AI & Dashboard
Improved AI Chart Generation
The AI analyst now produces better-quality charts and visualizations, with smarter selection of chart type — bar, line, pie, scatter, or table — based on the data being displayed.
Why it matters: Charts generated by Edia's AI analyst are clearer, better-formatted, and more appropriate for the data — making it easier to extract insights at a glance.
Scrollable Widget Tables
Dashboard widget tables now scroll properly when they contain more rows than fit in the widget area.
Why it matters: Large data tables in dashboard widgets are now fully accessible — no more data being cut off at the bottom.
Expanded Dashboard Widget Access
Dashboard widgets and the AI chat are now available to a broader set of user roles.
Why it matters: More staff members across your district can now access custom dashboard widgets and the AI data analyst.
🔐 Login & Access
Microsoft / Azure AD Single Sign-On
Edia now supports Sign in with Microsoft via Azure Active Directory, alongside existing Google sign-in.
Why it matters: Districts using Microsoft 365 / Azure AD can sign into Edia with their existing Microsoft credentials — no separate password needed, and IT teams get centralized access management.
📚 Academics
Benchmarks Now Available to All Districts
The Benchmarks feature is now accessible to all districts with the academics module — no special request needed.
Why it matters: Every district can now upload, view, and analyze benchmark assessment data alongside standards proficiency data.
