🤖 AI Analyst
Math Performance Data Now Available to the AI Analyst
The AI Analyst can now access math proficiency scores, domain-level breakdowns, and usage statistics when answering your questions.
Why it matters: When you ask the AI Analyst about a student or class, it can now give you a complete picture that includes math performance — not just attendance and behavior data.
Absence Reasons Available to the AI Analyst
The AI Analyst now has access to categorized absence reasons — such as illness, transportation, and family obligations — when analyzing attendance patterns.
Why it matters: Instead of just seeing that a student is absent, the AI can now tell you why — helping you spot root causes and target the right supports.
🛡️ Interventions
Interventions Table: Column Editor, Activity Filter & UX Improvements
The interventions table now lets you choose which columns to display, filter by last activity date, and includes several usability refinements.
Why it matters: District staff managing dozens of interventions can now customize their view to focus on exactly the information they need, and quickly find interventions that may need follow-up based on recent activity.
Removed "Needs Review" Status from Dashboard
The "Needs Review" intervention status has been removed from the district dashboard to streamline workflows.
Why it matters: Simplifies intervention tracking by reducing clutter and keeping focus on the active statuses that drive action.
📅 Attendance & SIS Integrations
SchoolTool SIS Attendance Integration
Edia now supports automatic attendance data syncing from SchoolTool, a widely used student information system in New York State.
Why it matters: Districts using SchoolTool no longer need to manually transfer attendance data — it flows into Edia automatically, keeping your chronic absenteeism dashboards up to date in real time.
📚 Academics & Content
New & Improved Math Problems
This week's content release includes new and updated problems across multiple subject areas: elementary decimals, financial literacy, fractions and mixed numbers, intro to geometry, numbers and counting, 3D solids, arithmetic properties (pre-algebra), and population and samples (statistics). New interactive shape visuals were also added to support fraction and geometry problems.
Why it matters: More problem variety means students get a richer, more engaging practice experience with better visual supports — especially in elementary and middle school math.
Improved Adaptive Learning Accuracy
Fixed an issue where the adaptive learning engine could miscalculate skill-cluster weights for certain math domains, affecting problem selection.
Why it matters: Students now get more precisely targeted practice problems that better match their actual skill levels.
🎓 Professional Development
Webinar Registration & PD Scheduler
A new Professional Development scheduler is now available with calendar and list views, allowing teachers and admins to browse upcoming PD sessions and register for webinars directly within Edia.
Why it matters: Teachers can now discover and sign up for training sessions without leaving the platform — making it easier to stay current on Edia's features and best practices.
👩💼 Admin Experience
Admins Can Preview Resources as a Teacher
District administrators can now view district-shared resources from the teacher's perspective.
Why it matters: Admins can verify that shared resources look correct and are accessible before teachers need them — reducing support requests and confusion.
🐛 Bug Fixes
Archived Class Assignments Now Editable — Assignments previously assigned to now-archived classes can once again be edited by teachers.
Deleted Students No Longer Appear in Interventions — Intervention lists now correctly filter out students who have been removed from the district.
"Days to Chronic" Column Sorting Fixed — The Days to Chronic column on the attendance dashboard now sorts correctly.
Assignment Row Spacing Fixed — Resolved a visual spacing issue in the assignment list view for teachers.
Email Notification Links Updated — Links in benchmark upload and intervention staff assignment emails now correctly route to the district dashboard.
