This article covers the essential steps for creating a teacher account in Edia, including how to sign up with Google, what to expect during onboarding, and what to do if your classes haven’t been rostered yet. Use this guide for:

Follow these steps to create your teacher account and enter Edia for the first time.

When prompted, choose Teacher to ensure your account is created with the correct permissions and access.

To simplify setup, select Sign in with Google.
You’ll be prompted to choose your school-issued Google email.

If your district does not use Google SSO, enter your name and email address in the spaces provided. You will then be prompted to create a password.

Google will ask you to confirm what Edia can access.
Select All and then click Continue at the bottom of the window to proceed.

If prompted, fill in your name and email, then select Get Started to move ahead.

You’ll see a quick set of introduction screens that highlight Edia’s core features, such as creating assignments, student feedback, and data insights.
Click Next on each page until you reach Get started.

If you see a screen asking you to “Join your school,” this means your classes are not yet rostered.

You can click Do this later and email support@edia.app with your course information for assistance.

You’ll land on your teacher dashboard, where you can begin creating assignments right away using the Assign tab.
