📚 Academics & Benchmarks
Benchmark Trends Dashboard (New!) The benchmarks section now includes a rich trends dashboard with four new visualization widgets: performance band mix by grade and school, achievement vs. growth quadrant charts, measure breakdown heatmaps, and multi-line trend charts across testing windows. District leaders can track how benchmark performance shifts over time, spot schools or grades that are growing fastest—or falling behind—and make more informed instructional decisions without exporting to spreadsheets.
mCLASS / DIBELS 8th Edition Support Edia now ingests and displays mCLASS (DIBELS 8th Edition) early literacy benchmark data, including composite scores and individual strand measures. Districts using Amplify's mCLASS for K–2 reading screening can now see those results alongside all other benchmark data in Edia, giving a unified view of student literacy progress.
Benchmark Filters Are Now Preserved Switching between benchmark views (roster vs. trends) no longer resets your selected filters for assessment, term, grade, or school. No more re-selecting filters every time you navigate between views.
📅 Attendance
Formal Contact Names Setting A new toggle in Attendance Settings lets district admins switch outgoing messages to use formal names (e.g., "Mr. Smith" instead of first names) when addressing contacts. Districts that prefer more formal family communication can now enforce that tone district-wide across all automated messages.
Conversation Deep Linking Clicking on a conversation now updates the URL with a shareable link that opens directly to a specific contact's conversation thread. Staff can share a direct link to a family conversation in Slack, email, or meeting notes—making collaboration between counselors, attendance teams, and administrators faster.
Smarter Date Filters The "This Quarter" preset has been replaced with "This School Year," which automatically uses your district's configured school-year start date. Date ranges now align with your actual academic calendar instead of arbitrary quarters.
Improved Attendance Data Quality Attendance and enrollment records that arrive from the SIS without complete context are now filtered out at load time rather than causing downstream issues. This means more accurate attendance rates, fewer phantom records, and more reliable dashboards—especially during mid-year enrollments and transfers.
More Accurate Attendance Threshold Triggers Threshold trigger windows now use actual PowerSchool term dates instead of estimated date ranges. Notifications and interventions now fire based on your real grading periods, reducing false positives and ensuring students are flagged at the right time.
🤖 AI Features
AI Analyst — Smarter Data Routing The AI Analyst chat now automatically routes questions to the correct dataset—live attendance data vs. cached analytics—based on the tables referenced in the query. Questions now pull from the most relevant and up-to-date data source for more accurate and consistent answers.
🔧 Data & Integrations
ClassLink Roster Sync Expansion The ClassLink roster sync now imports staff across multiple roles—administrators, aides, proctors—not just those tagged as "teacher," as long as they actively teach a class. Instructional staff classified as aides or administrators in ClassLink but who teach classes will now appear in Edia automatically, without needing to be added manually.
Improved Canvas Setup Instructions The Canvas LMS integration setup page now includes clearer, step-by-step instructions for district IT administrators, supporting faster and smoother onboarding for districts connecting Edia to Canvas.
🎓 Professional Development
"Virtual Sessions" Renamed to "Webinars" The PD scheduling section now uses the label "Webinars" instead of "Virtual Sessions." Clearer terminology helps teachers and staff quickly find and register for upcoming professional development sessions.
🐛 Bug Fixes
AI Coach error resolved — Fixed a crash that occurred when a student opened the AI Coach on an assignment they hadn't started yet.
Orphan conversations cleaned up — Fixed an issue where some attendance conversations could become disconnected from their parent contact, causing them not to appear in the conversations list.
Phone number recycling improved — Increased the failure threshold before a phone number is recycled, reducing unnecessary number churn and improving SMS delivery reliability.
