Adding a Co-Teacher

This guide explains how to add a co-teacher to a class period in Edia. Adding a co-teacher allows another educator to access the same class tools, assignments, and student data as you.

When to Use This

Use this guide when you want to:

  • Share class management with another teacher (e.g., resource teacher, intervention teacher)

  • Team-teach a class

  • Give a colleague access to assignments, results, and class tools

Co-teachers have access to manage assignments and view student data for that class.

Before you begin:

You must be logged into your Edia teacher account.

The co-teacher must already have an Edia account.

How to Add a Co-Teacher

Follow these steps to add a co-teacher to your class.

1. Log Into Edia

Sign in to your teacher dashboard.

2. Click Classes

Select Classes from the top navigation.

3. Open the Class

Select the class where you want to add a co-teacher.

4. Click “Add co-teacher”

Locate and select the Add co-teacher button.

5. Enter the Co-Teacher’s Email

Click the Enter an email address field.

Type the co-teacher’s email address.

Click Add.

6. Confirm

Verify that the co-teacher now appears in the class co-teacher list.

The teacher you added should now appear in your class’s co-teacher list and have access to that class.

Troubleshooting

Can’t add a co-teacher?

Make sure the person you’re adding already has an Edia account. You cannot add someone who does not yet have an account. They must create an Edia account before you can add them as a co-teacher.
