Use Materials from a Shared Folder

This guide explains how to access shared folders, make copies of Practices or Quizzes, and assign them to your classes. Helpful for teachers using resources shared by colleagues without affecting the original materials.

Using Materials from Shared Folders

If another teacher or team has added you to a shared folder, you can easily use the materials inside it for your own classes. Shared folders make collaboration simple while keeping each teacher’s edits separate.

Accessing a Shared Folder

  1. Open the shared folder from your homepage or folder list
    (e.g., “Algebra I”).

Using a Practice or Quiz

1. Click the Practice or Quiz you want to use

Preview it to confirm it fits your needs.

2. Select “Make a Copy”

This creates your own editable version of the item.

Editing and Assigning Your Copy

  • Edit your version as needed

  • Assign it to your classes

  • Click “Post” to share it with students

Your Edits Won’t Affect the Original

Any changes you make will apply only to your copy.
The original resource in the shared folder remains unchanged for everyone else.
